Denver, CO-- April 9, 2013— The Center for Hearing, Speech and Language provides hearing testing, hearings aids, speech, language and cognitive therapy for all ages, including for those who are unable to pay for services, is celebrating 95 years by holding a fundraising event at Hudson Gardens on May 15 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
This special evening of celebration and cheer honors the Center’s 95th Anniversary and Better Hearing and Speech Month. Tickets are only $30 and proceeds benefit the Center’s work of providing services for people who are unable to pay.
Guests can wander beautiful Hudson Gardens, enjoy music by a quartet from the Colorado Symphony Youth Orchestra and munch hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are available online at www.chsl.org/95.
“This event marks 95 years of helping people improve the quality of their lives. People don’t think about the hardships endured by those who can’t hear, or kids who struggle in school due to hearing, vision or speech issues,” said Jill Wayne, the Center’s Executive Director. “Anniversaries are always times to celebrate the best of the past while we work and aspire toward the brightest possible future for us and our clients.”
A Silent Auction from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, includes one-day Aspen Ski passes, Central City Opera tickets, Comedy Works tickets, Denver Zoo Family Pack, bowling, golf lesson, wine tasting, lodging in Cabo San Lucas, San Francisco and Vail, restaurants, signed sports memorabilia, gift baskets and more.
