All testing and training is provided on our mobile screening trailer in a sound-proof booth and we offer the most accurate measurement of the noise levels at manufacturing plants as well as the most up-to-date OSHA compliant training films. The Sound Solutions on-site testing is a better alternative to off-sight screening programs offered by other hearing conservation companies.
Our OSHA / MSHA compliant films teach workers how they hear, how noise damages hearing and different types of hearing protection and proper use.
We also provide noise level monitoring with a hand held sound level meter via our technician or individual monitoring devices (dosimeters) programmed and shipped from our Denver office.
Sound Solutions travels all over Colorado helping businesses with hearing conservation programs.
Our highly trained and experienced technician, Mary Wilson, who is accredited with the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC), runs Hear/Trak computer software. Maico/Benson microprocessor audiometers provide the test itself. The Sound Solutions Program can screen and train six workers simultaneously and comprehensive reports are generated and reviewed by a CHSL-staffed ASHA certified audiologist to eventually be made accessible to workers and employers.
Sound Solutions hearing conservation program was pioneered as a division of the Center in 1970, marketing to primarily manufacturing businesses across the United States who must meet OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) sound level standards in the workplace.
The program is a unique, in that the revenue generated is used for the Center's nonprofit propgrams serving those in need. This is widely known in the not-for-profit industry as Social Enterprise Fees.
